How it works:

Please check the consignment details page for requirements for items to be consigned and our favorite brands page for an idea of the types of designers and brands we accept. To start, bring in up to 20 of your best items! The store representative will be happy to inspect and choose from 20 of your best items to consign, any items over 20 that you bring in will be subject to automatic donation if they are not selected.

Consigners earn 40% of the selling price of each item sold.  Occasionally, we will run specials and sales, which may or may not affect your items, but unlike other boutiques, the 40% rule always applies!  You may choose to subscribe to www.myresaleweb.com to view the status of your consignment items 24/7.  This website is updated daily at midnight, allowing you to track your consignment sales from the comfort of your own home. Additionally, you can always call the shop for an update!

You can receive payment in two ways: 1. store credit or 2. commission check. Store credit starts accruing as soon as your items start to sell! You can use store credit immediately as it become available!

The consignment period is 60 days, after which the consigner can receive a check for the amount owed. Requested checks are mailed after the 20th of each month.  See the payout page for more info. If anything is left unsold and you would like to reclaim it, you must indicate that on your consignement agreement. The last day of the consignment period we will pull your items and attempt to contact you for pick up. Items left unclaimed 7 days after the end consignment date will be automatically donated. We donate to a battered women's shelter and several other family charities on a weekly basis. (Tri-County Community Action Agency, Inc.). We can provide donation receipts for all donated items.

All prices are subject to discount coupons, store specials, and sales. My Best Friend’s Closet is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items. Credit will not be given for lost, damaged, or stolen items under any circumstance.  Your items will be numbered and tagged with your own consigner ID number and ready for sale almost immediately!
